Louis Persico Sr. & Virginia (Longo) Persico
Clermont FL - Louis Persico Sr., formerly of Middlebury. CT., passed away Feb. 22, 2019 he was 89. Virginia Persico, formerly of Middlebury, CT., passed away July 28, 2023 she was 93. They where married Sept. 10, 1949.
Louis was born April 22, 1930 in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Salvatore and Elena (Cappiello) Persico, and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School in Waterbury, Ct.. He worked at Waterbury Amusement (where he meet Virginia) and then at Del Amusement before he retired.
He was predeceased by his brother Frank Persico, sister-in-law Mitzi Persico, sister Justine Gulielmetti, brother-in-law John Gulielmetti and a nephew Frank J. Persico.
Virginia was born January 21, 1930 in Waterbury, CT., the daughter of the late William and Filomena Longo, and was a graduate of Wilby High School. She worked at Waterbury Amusement and then Grand Union Supermarket until they closed.
She was predeceased by a sister Antoinette Naclerio, brother-in-law Louis Naclerio, brother Joseph F. Longo, sister-in-law Concetta Longo.
They enjoyed playing cards with their family and friends, trips to the casino, bingo, and traveling to Europe and Canada. They traveled to Florida for the winters until they retired to Florida 20 years ago.
They are survived by two daughters, Pat Kinne of Clermont, FL, who was the care giver for mom the last 5 years, Barbara Freire and husband John of Naugatuck, CT., a son Louis Persico Jr. and wife Nadine of Clermont, FL;
Four grandchildren, Louis Persico III and wife Jenn, Deanna (Persico) Bouldin and husband Bryan, William Kinne and wife Rachel, and Keith Kinne;
Twelve great grandchildren, Elena, Dionyios, Louis IV, Salvatore, Isabella, Max, Jack, Lorelei, Charlotte, Ellainora, Josephine, and Dylan. Elena and Sean have welcomed a great-great granddaughter Philomea.
